Store up to 4,000 photos for free with Picasa Web

Just in case you missed it, Picasa Web now offers 1GB of free storage space for photos and videos. Enough room for about 4,000 photos. Moreover, there isn't any bandwidth limitation (does Flickr still do this?). Google has introduced lots of new features that makes it easier to manage and share your photos -- bravo!

Flickr still limits the bandwidth up to 100MB. It used to be lower (i forgot how much). But one you're in the flickr community, it's difficult to get out off.. especially if most of your friends are flickr-ettes. :) So, I won't be changing my preference for storig photos just yet!

Do tell me (if you hv an account) your Picasa Web account name.

I forgot that you're a Flickr fan! I believe the previous bandwidth limit was 10MB, and this was tied to uploads. 100MB sounds fair. Are you still limited to 100 photos in your photo stream?

My Picasa Web hasn't been updated in a while, and that's due to my silly camera phone. Feel free to view it here.

Now, they limit it to the 200 most recent photos which will be displayed in a free Flickr album.
