How do we avoid a fine?

My letter to the Datuk Bandar was published in today's edition of the New Straits Times (Letters, page 27, June 5, 2007). Thanks to some excellent editing, it emphasises the questions arising from my experience.

Such often is the case : Assumed guilty until proven innocent. Really, how DO YOU prove yourself innocent in this case?

People I've spoken to claim that I can just "rayu" at the DBKL office. Perhaps I should bring along the newspaper cutting too!

Yeah, but "rayu" is not exactly gonna solve your case. In your case, when you "rayu", sounds more like THEY are doing YOU a favour! What a disservice.
