@ivan: unfortunately, I decided to ditch it. The drain was 6 feet deep, and I had to attend a meeting at the same time. My mind some how decided that it was probably best to use this incident as an excuse to upgrade my glasses. I'm squinting a little right now, but it feels great to walk around with a lighter pocket =)
@ranga: I had some phlegm. Had to spit it out. I did it discretely, and into a drain, so no harm to the masses, I hope.
@melissa: I've shortlisted 3 pairs at Reliance. All look geeky cool! And the people there are really friendly lah. They make me feel special. Even after I told them I dropped my glasses in the drain, that I only wanted to spend 100 bucks on the frame, and that I wouldn't be able to make a choice today. Excellent customer experience!
Reliance does indeed give one of the better retail experiences in Malaysia! I wonder how they've managed to be so consistent. I've been there a few times and each time it's a different person yet the customer service is still excellent. Maybe it's a family business...
@ranga: Nope! I looked at the silver-frameless-defaults, but didn't like it. In fact, I never really liked my previous glasses, but had little choice as it was my first pair. The one's I've shortlisted are thick chunky "drew carry"-like, only a little slimmer in height.
@prashant: yeah man, I'm totally sold! Like toduhlly!
I got that silver frameless one (although I am only a professional slave..kekeke)and it's hopeless. The optician said it will bounce back to shape no matter how you bend it. But they obviously have not stress-tested it under the 'Tobey's bazooka strength force'. I wished I got those thick chuncky ones as well.

In situations like this, people don't usually take pics :P
I'd pick up the glasses first!

Oh. My. God. You were spitting in public??
Clever by. Spit summore.

"Geeky cool?" Somehow, I highly doubt that. I'm betting it's silver/frameless that's thin, conservative and professional.
I'm right, aren't I? Come on, say it!

I think I'm going to be looking at preveen differently at work now. Especially when he's wearing (his filthy) glasses.
@chip-pea: thanks for the heads up. Was contemplating on the "get back to shape" glasses too.
@chanpengli: dude, I left the glasses in that filthy drain, didn't retrieve it. So no need to look at me funny, hah hah!
