Making sense of 55 sen
Scene 1: Big buff guy in front of me. Orders enough for two buff guys. And then he orders tartar sauce. Cashier gives him a plastic tub with a squirt of sauce. Like toothpaste squirt. For 55 sen. Buff guy looks pissed. But instead of using brute force, he just orders another squirt. That's another 55 sen. Next!
Scene 2: Old homeless guy walks in. Looks lost. Stares at Value Meal menu. Ponders. Then orders an ice cream in a cone. It's on a special offer of 55 sen after tax. Twist? He pays, and gets change. Ponders. Then inserts coins into the donation box.
Only at McDonald's. Or maybe just Bangsar.

In Sydney, they give you that dollop of tartar sauce for free if you ordered a fillet o'fish. They shouldn't charge you here, they don't put enough of it anyway.
Great observations. Even greater narration.
Yes, I reckon, only in Bangsar. Even homeless people can afford to do some charity.
