In your face advertising

Dell versus HP.

Slugging it out on the back cover of BusinessWeek.

But really, it's no man's land. Battery life on all laptops is crap (until we figure out an alternative to lithium, of course)

Oh, and realise how they make no reference to it being a laptop or notebook. Smart.

That's not right! International mag? Didn't think you could do that here.

I'd have to second that (me working in HP has nothing to do with this)

I think this was the local print of the BusinessWeek. Picked it up at Borders. Not sure if there are regulations against it. But I also recall Oracle doing similar ads on their db software versus competitors.

I thought in M'sia (Or are you in S'pore?) they do not allow this (Advertising that your product is better using the real name of competitor - that is why when the hypermarts advertise in M'sia, they put in "vague" (but obviously obvious to M'sians) comparisons of how "cheap" it is to shop in their stores compared to their 3 other competitors)?

But usually in other countries, this is allowable. See the popular sport brands, ie Reebok showing how they r better than Nike.

Ooh, long reply.
