R.I.P. Scooter (1998 - 2008)

I just found out that "my" dog, Scooter, passed away yesterday.

He was just over 10 years old (70 dog years).

My family had the privilege of having him as a puppy. He brought lots of joy, and never enjoyed his showers. We watched him grow, thought him how to sit, roll, jump and shake hands; then thought him how to race & jump off the gate pillar, and yet never quite figured out why he howled everytime the "paper lama" guy drove past.

He kept us company for 8 solid years. When we moved to Bangsar, we decided to give him up due to the space constraints. Thankfully, he was adopted by a loving family that cared for him and his mother, Snowy (who is still alive!).

I don't think we made the right choice in giving him up. Dogs really are a man's best friend, even if they bite your slippers over and over again.

Scooter - I hope you're barking from doggie heaven by now. Thank you for those good times!

Deepest condolence to you - So sorry to hear about Scooter :(

Why did you say you didn't make the right choice by giving him up? It was due to space constraints - hope you find peace in knowing so. :)

@tsulin: wishful thinking - perhaps we could have kept him indoors, ha ha!

@ranga: "Razamaninko" - gosh, how'd you remember that one! Yeah, I remember that time when we found her outside my house. Old lady still going strong!

I'm sorry Scooter died. I'm sure he had a good 8 years with you.

I never met him but when your mom broke the news to me, I was in near tears.
